The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is a powerful Vedic chant from the Rigveda. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered a moksha mantra, which bestows longevity and immortality.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is also known as the Tryambakam Mantra, which refers to the three-eyed form of Lord Shiva (Mahadev).
ॐ हम त्रिनेत्र वाले की पूजा करते हैं, जो सुगंधित हैं, जो पोषण और समृद्धि को बढ़ाते हैं। जिस प्रकार पके हुए खरबूजे का फल आसानी से अपनी बेल से अलग हो जाता है, वैसे ही हमें मृत्यु के बंधन से मुक्त करें, पर मृत्यु के बाद भी अमृतत्व को प्राप्त करें।
Om, we worship the three-eyed Lord (Shiva), who is fragrant and who nourishes and nurtures all beings. As is the ripened cucumber (is freed) from its bondage (to the creeper), may he liberate us from death for the sake of immortality.
